End Greyhound Racing at Wentworth Park

Sign our petition to end greyhound racing at Wentworth Park and return this valuable green space to our community.

The use of our public land must be decided by the community, not the gambling and racing industries. But right now, valuable green space in the heart of our City is at risk of continuing to be used for cruel greyhound racing instead of finally being opened up for public use.

Pyrmont and Ultimo are two of the most densely populated suburbs in Australia, and with more development planned, we urgently need the government to deliver more green open space for our growing community.

We also know that our local community does not support greyhound racing continuing on this site. In 2024 alone, more than 390 greyhounds were injured and five tragically lost their lives in races held at Wentworth Park. It's a cruel industry that is beyond redemption.

Our community has long advocated for the closure of this notorious track, and for the parkland to be returned to our community for public use.

Disappointingly, the NSW Labor Government is considering extending the greyhound racing lease at Wentworth Park beyond 2027. We cannot let this happen.

Join us in calling on the NSW Labor Government to end cruel greyhound racing at Wentworth Park and to return this valuable green space to our community for public use.
