Stop Native Forest Logging
Please sign our petition below to stop Native Forest Logging and deliver the promised Great Koala National Park
Australia’s native forests are among the most biodiverse and ecologically significant systems on earth. They provide critical habitat for wildlife, support clean air and water, and store enormous amounts of carbon.
Disappointingly, the NSW Labor Government has not supported calls from environmental advocates and the broader community to ban destructive native forest logging. They've also failed to deliver a Great Koala National Park - something that has been promised by various leaders since 2015.
Ongoing logging operations are releasing millions of tonnes of carbon and driving species to the brink of extinction. We know what needs to happen to protect our living planet now and for generations to come. The NSW Government must finalise plans for the Great Koala National Park, and they need to end native forest logging.
We call on the Minister for the Environment to urgently finalise plans for the Great Koala National Park and to ban destructive native forest logging. |
